ZIYX offers a stress-free space to help people conquer the fear of starting a business. They’ve devised a programme of game-based learning to make the dream of starting and running a business available to everyone. Now, they wanted to tell the world. So they turned to Craft Words for help in communicating complex information about business regulations and processes. And turning the vision into video scripts.
At Craft we have a wealth of experience in video communication,. From our work with Manuvo to our experiences with the streaming platform Waterbear. This reassured ZIYX that they would be able to inform their audience and connect with them, while maintaining their distinctive tone of voice.
ZIYX see themselves as the leaders of a rebellion against the status quo. They aim to transform industries and rewrite the rules of business by empowering people from lower wage backgrounds and minorities to become business starters . They have a very distinctive and disruptive tone, which it was important for Craft to understand and build upon.
We did a lot of research into everything from bookkeeping to sustainability, online sales and the minutiae of starting and running a business. Because only by fully understanding the details of running a business could we put the distinctive ZIYX spin onto it. When it came to writing scripts, we put the information across in a way that was clear, using no assumed knowledge. And with a very peer-to-peer tone of voice.
It was crucial that the tone of the videos brought people onboard who are normally alienated by most business information services. This feeling of opening up entrepreneurialism and bringing excluded people inside was very motivating in helping us power through the scripts.
We worked fast, delivering 10 scripts per week for three weeks. Soon, we’d delivered a library of 30 video scripts, exploring the basics of starting and running a business from the ground up. It was a swift turnaround and we hit the mark first time. In the end, ZIYX were pleased we’d solved their big problem of how to explain complex business info and regulations in an engaging way. While we were satisfied we’d done our bit to encourage the business people of tomorrow.
