Hitachi Heating & Cooling makes residential cooling and heating products as well as climate solutions for businesses. They’d already worked with our friends Llorente y Cuenca LLYC to establish their brand strategy, and they in turn recommended Craft to provide expert help in coolly bringing the strategy to life.

Hitachi and LLYC chose Craft Words to help because of our experience of writing and developing strategies. We’re experts in mixing brand strategy with effective copywriting, for clients such as Manuvo, Weyay Bank, and Sngular.

Brand-focused copy

Craft’s challenge was to find a way to write for Hitachi that would be both effective and engaging. The brand is large and well established, with a strong heritage. We were asked to write taglines and short, brand-focused copy that would cut through and say something new, while respecting the trust and experience on which the brand is built.

Building on good foundations

Our team worked very closely with LLYC to make sure we fully understood the work they’d already done for Hitachi, in establishing a strong brand strategy. We slotted into the team and immediately got to work to bring their strategy to life. At the same time, bringing an external perspective meant that we were able to refine the strategy and sharpen some of the ways the brand was expressed and tune up the brand’s tone of voice.

A warm reception

The project was a great demonstration of Craft’s ability to pick up brand work that’s already been started, and to work as part of a wider team to bring ideas to life. We were able to turn a strong brand strategy into engaging, on-brand copy. Our clients at Hitachi, as well as our agency partners were pleased with the clear difference we made.
